Shi Chang (Xinhua) China has launched a Long March 2D carrier rocket that sent a remote sensing satellite into space.
The rocket lifted off at 9:58 a.m. (Beijing time) from the Shichang Satellite Launch Center in southwestern Sichuan province and sent the Yagan-39 satellite into the designated orbit.
This was the 500th flight mission of the Long March series rocket.
